Description

The Thermo Scientific 96-Well, White, Semi-Skirted Flat Deck PCR Plates are compatible with most thermal cyclers and ABI platforms, including sequencers, with no adapters necessary. White plates are optimized for qPCR by increasing sensitivity and reducing variability in fluorescence detection. The Thermo Scientific PCR plastics are designed, manufactured, and tested to ensure PCR performance. The plates have 0.3 mL maximum well volume when used with adhesive and heat seals.

The low profile Thermo Scientific PCR plate (Blue) has shorter wells than the standard profile plate (AB-0600), decreasing the ‘dead space’ between the heated lid of the thermal cycler and the sample. This eliminates condensation on the side wall of the tube, preventing reduction in PCR volume and increasing the efficiency of the reaction. These low profile products are especially recommended for use with reaction volumes below 20 µL.
